About the Band
Detroit Soul Revue (DSR) is the latest incarnation of the long running Mass Transit band that has been entertaining Detroit for over 30 years. This ten-piece live band features vocals, horns, and a locked and loaded rhythm section.
DSR features a large selection of soul, funk and rock tunes that will make it hard to sit still; they take the business of getting folks
moving seriously.

Praise for DSR
"The Adcraft Club of Detroit is the country’s largest and oldest advertising club and we have an annual party called, “Holiday in the D” held at the Motor City Casino Soundboard Room. The event is 4 hours of mingling, eating, drinking and dancing. However, the dancing part of the night never seemed to take off until this past December when we hired the Detroit Soul Revue. This 10 piece band was awesome! Their song list was great. Lots of Motown and other fun music that really got the crowd up dancing. The singers and the horns are amazing. I would highly recommend this band for any event, wedding or party. You will have no regrets! We had never heard of the group before but they came recommended to us and we hired with them. We couldn’t have been more pleased. They were on time, very organized, very reasonably priced, friendly and efficient. The manager is very communicative and easy to work with. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with DSR."

"The Detroit Soul Revue recently volunteered their time to play for our annual Toys for Tots Benefit at Callahan's in Auburn Hills. I knew that they would be very good, but had no idea just how good. These folks rocked the house from the first note to the last. Tight, musical, and diverse would be the shortest explanation that comes to mind. If you have the chance to book these folks, do not hesitate. Your guests will LOVE THEM - ours sure did!"

"Detroit Soul Review headlined the 2nd night of the Petoskey Festival on the Bay in August 2015. From those that have been coming to the festival for many years to the committee members, DSR was a hit! They showed a diverse song selection, amazing talent, and professionalism. I would never question what would happen if I put them back on stage. They will build a solid fan base of young hipsters to the seasoned folk every time they play."

"I have witnessed on numerous occasions the talent behind the Detroit Soul Revue. DSR was a big part of my daughter's wedding. Very friendly, energetic and very enjoyable to listen and dance to."

"The Detroit Soul Revue “rocks the house”! When the group is on stage, every member puts their heart and soul into every note, every word sung, and every beat played. We’ve been familiar with this group of fantastic musicians for over twenty years and have had them play at many parties and family weddings. We’ve seen them at community events such as the Petoskey Festival on the Bay and can say without reservation, this is the group you want at your event if you want to have fun and dance all night long! Guaranteed, by the end of the night, when it’s time for the band to 'wrap it up,' you’ll be calling for more!"
